Veena on phones and tablets
Veena on phones and tablets puts CoProducer, your personal music producer, in your pocket. On a phone, Veena opens a studio built for your thumb: you start a song from one sentence, record an idea with your phone's microphone, and keep directing CoProducer, then pick the very same song up on your laptop. It runs free in your phone's browser, with nothing to install.
Start a song on your phone
- Open daw.veena.studio in Safari or Chrome and sign in with Google.
- Your songs lists every project on your account, each with when it was last edited, how many tracks it has and its tempo. Tap New song.
- Tap a starter prompt, such as "Build me a hip hop beat" (the genre follows your genre choice), "Find me a guitar loop and build a chill vibe around it" or "Start a moody late-night track with drums, bass and keys". Or describe your own song in the box.
- The start screen lifts away and CoProducer builds the song in the studio behind it.
- When CoProducer offers options for a part, a banner shows "option 1 of 3". Step through them with the arrows, tap play to hear each one in the mix, and tap Keep on the one you want. It turns to Added and CoProducer carries on.
Talk to CoProducer, or dictate
The strip along the bottom always says what CoProducer is doing right now. Type in Ask CoProducer…, or tap the microphone (Dictate a prompt) and say it out loud. Dictation listens in your phone's language, on browsers that support speech input, and fills the box for you to send.
Tap the strip to open CoProducer full screen. It is the same CoProducer as on a laptop: the whole conversation, the option cards, the model and genre choices, and Stop. Ask for changes in plain words: "make the drums half-time", "swap the piano for a Rhodes", "add a bridge after the second chorus".
Record an idea
Tap the record button in the transport. The first time, your browser asks for the microphone; after that, your take lands on a track in the song. Then hand it to CoProducer: "build a song around my recording", "turn my humming into a saxophone", or "add drums and bass that follow this guitar".

The last row of tracks reads "Add a layer — just ask below": every new part starts as a request to CoProducer.
Finish on your laptop
Detailed work belongs on the big screen: the piano roll, the mixer and effects, your own plugins, and export in WAV 24-bit/48 kHz, MP3, MIDI or stems, with no cap and no watermark.
- Tap Desktop at the top right.
- The Finish on desktop sheet reads "Open Veena on your laptop — your song is waiting." and shows the song's link.
- Tap Copy link (it changes to Link copied) and send it to yourself. If your browser blocks copying, press and hold the link to copy it.
- Open the link on your laptop. Or skip the link entirely: sign in at daw.veena.studio and the song is already in Your Projects.
Nothing needs exporting in between. Phone and laptop open the same project, saved to your Veena account.
Tablets
Veena decides by screen width: 1000 px or wider opens the full studio, narrower opens the phone studio. Every current iPad clears 1000 px when held sideways, so it opens the full studio, and the iPad file picker accepts audio and MIDI files. Most tablets held upright fall under 1000 px and open the phone studio. Rotate and reload to switch.
If sound stops after a phone call or switching apps, tap play again: Veena picks the audio back up.

Held upright, it opens Veena's phone studio instead. Both work on the same projects, saved to your Veena account.
How do I move a song from my phone to my laptop in Veena?
Tap Desktop at the top of Veena's phone studio. The Finish on desktop sheet shows the song's own link: tap Copy link, send it to yourself and open it on your laptop. Or simply sign in at daw.veena.studio on the laptop, where the song is already waiting in Your Projects, because Veena saves it to your account.
