Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Veena Studio Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Veena”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use the Veena website, the Veena web application and digital audio workstation, the AI CoProducer, and related services (together, the “Service”).

This Policy is part of and incorporated into our Terms & Conditions. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1.Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information — such as your name, email address, username, password or third-party sign-in identifier (for example, Google), and profile details.
  • Your content — the audio, recordings, MIDI, stems, samples, project files, prompts, lyrics, and other materials you upload or create, and the output you generate.
  • Payment information — when you subscribe, our third-party payment processor collects your payment details. We receive limited information such as your billing contact, plan, and transaction status; we do not store full payment-card numbers.
  • Communications — messages, feedback, survey responses, and support requests you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — features used, actions taken, prompts and generations, session activity, and preferences.
  • Device and log data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, identifiers, referring URLs, timestamps, and diagnostic, crash, and performance data.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — as described in “Cookies and Analytics” below.

Information from third parties

We may receive information from authentication providers when you sign in (for example, Google), from our payment processor (such as transaction confirmations), and from analytics providers.

2.How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, secure, and support the Service and your account;
  • process transactions and manage your subscription;
  • develop, improve, personalize, and analyze the Service and our products and services;
  • communicate with you, including service and security notices, updates, support, and — where permitted — marketing;
  • detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, and technical issues; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and policies.

We may create de-identified and/or aggregated data from the information we collect, and we may use and retain that data for any business purpose without restriction.

3.How We Share Information

We may share information as follows:

  • Service providers and subprocessors — such as cloud hosting and storage, AI and model providers, payment processing, analytics, email and communications, customer support, and security vendors, who process information on our behalf.
  • AI providers — to deliver AI features, your prompts and relevant content may be processed by third-party model providers under their terms.
  • Legal and safety — to comply with applicable law, legal process, or government requests; to enforce our Terms; and to protect the rights, safety, and property of Veena, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your direction or consent — for example, when you use sharing or collaboration features.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data — which we may share for any purpose.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Depending on your location, certain data uses may be treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under applicable law; see “Your Rights and Choices” for how to exercise any opt-out.

4.AI Features and Your Content

When you use AI features, your inputs, prompts, and relevant content are processed to generate output and to operate, secure, and improve the Service and our products and services, as described in our Terms & Conditions. We may use your content and usage data to develop and improve our products and services, and we may retain and use de-identified and aggregated data without restriction.

5.Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this Policy, including to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the reason we hold it. We may retain de-identified or aggregated data and routine backups for longer. When you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, subject to these exceptions.

6.Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and update. You can access and update your account information in the Service, and you can request deletion of your account.
  • Marketing. You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link; we may still send you service-related messages.
  • Cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:

  • EEA / UK. Rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. We process personal data on legal bases including performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, your consent, and legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • California. Rights to know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing,” without discriminatory treatment for exercising your rights. We do not sell personal information for money.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@veena.studio. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

7.Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, to remember your preferences, for security, and for analytics — including Google Analytics — to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. You can control cookies through your browser, although some features may not function properly without them. Analytics providers may collect usage information subject to their own privacy policies.

8.International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States and may process and store information in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.

9.Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.

10.Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 18, you should use the Service only with the permission of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us at hi@veena.studio and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice — for example, by posting the updated Policy with a new “Last updated” date, or through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
