Veena is a free AI music generator built around a personal music producer. Describe a song in one sentence and CoProducer builds all of it — drums, bass, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — then hands you every part as a real track in a full AI DAW, so you can change any note, swap any sound and keep producing.

Most generators stop at a file. You type, you wait, you get a mixed-down song, and if the hats are too busy you roll the dice again and lose the chorus you liked. Veena starts where they stop: the song arrives as a session, the producer who built it stays in the room, and "turn the hats down in the verse" is a sentence, not a re-roll.

How the AI music generator works in Veena

1. Open daw.veena.studio and sign in with Google. Nothing to install and no graphics card: Veena runs in your browser and the AI models run on Veena's servers, so a Chromebook works as well as a studio Mac.
2. Describe the song in one message. Genre, tempo, key, the parts you hear, the shape. For example:

Make a 124 BPM deep house track in A minor: four-on-the-floor kick, offbeat open hats and claps, a rolling deep house bassline, warm electric piano chords and a short bell pluck hook. 16-bar intro, first drop, 8-bar breakdown with the drums out, second drop, 8-bar outro.

3. Watch it build, layer by layer. CoProducer sets the tempo and key, maps the sections, then writes the parts. Parts that stand alone are written at the same time; a part that has to fit another waits and reads that part's actual notes, so a bassline written to the kick locks to a kick that is really on the timeline.
4. Pick, then steer. CoProducer offers 3 options for every new part; hear them, keep one, and nothing that depends on it is written until you choose. Then ask: "half-time drums in the breakdown", "swap the electric piano for a string pad", "add a 4-bar riser before the second drop". One undo reverses any change.
5. Export. WAV (24-bit/48 kHz), MP3 (320 kbps) or MIDI, as the full mix or every track as stems in a zip, as often as you like.

One tip from the numbers: name the genre. In Veena's own data, 3 in 4 new users (75.7%) whose first request asks for a new song get a finished first result on day one, and 81.5% do when that request names a genre.

What you get back: a session, not a file

Here is what the deep house prompt above leaves on your timeline, and what you can change on each part without regenerating the rest.

Every part stays editable, and the song stays yours: Veena's terms say "you own the Output you generate through your use of the Service", and there is no watermark on your exports. Suno sells its studio separately. Suno's help centre says it "outputs your song as one audio file containing all music and words". Opening that file up takes Suno Studio, which comes only with the Premier plan at $30 a month ($24 a month billed yearly) and, in Suno's own words, "is not compatible with VST or Audio Units plugins" (Suno's pricing page and help centre, September 2026). Downloads are capped on Free (up to 7 lifetime trial downloads, for personal use only) and on Pro (20 a month), and on the free Basic tier Suno says "we retain ownership of the songs you generate".

Udio won't let your music leave. Since its Universal Music Group deal on 29 October 2025, "downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled" (Udio's help centre, September 2026). A song you can't export is a song you never really had.

Mureka keeps the studio and the good files on its top plan. Mureka Studio and WAV, stem and MIDI downloads are Premier features at $30 a month (Mureka's subscribe page, September 2026). Its terms, effective 13 May 2026, say that on the free tier "mureka owns all rights, title and interest" in what you make, licensed back to you for non-commercial use with credit to Mureka.

Veena puts the studio, the producer and the export button on the free plan, and the music belongs to you.
