Export problems
Export problems in Veena always come with a reason on screen: when an export can't run, the Export tab says why in one line, right where the file summary would be. Exporting is free on every plan, with no cap and no watermark, in WAV 24-bit/48 kHz, MP3 320 kbps, MIDI or MP4 for projects with video, as the full mix or every track. Each fix below gets your song out in one more click.
Where export lives
- Click your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Export. Studio Settings opens on the Export tab.
- Type a Filename. It starts as your project's name.
- Pick a Format: WAV, MP3 or MIDI. MP4 appears only when the project contains video.
- Pick the Contents: Full mix or Stems. MIDI and MP4 are always one file.
- Switch on Normalize audio for export to have Veena set the file's overall level.
- Read the summary line (file count, name, quality, size), then press the button, which names what you'll get: Export WAV, Export MP3 or, for example, Export 6 stems.
Export problems: every blocked message and its fix
As of September 2026:

If an export starts and then stops, a red Export Failed box shows the reason. Fix it and press the button again: nothing is used up, because exports have no cap.
A part is missing from the file
- A track is soloed. Solo mutes the clips on every other track, and the export follows what you hear. Switch solo off.
- A clip or track is muted. Muted clips look faded on the timeline and stay silent in the full mix; muted tracks are left out of a stems export.
- Your own plugins. Parts played or processed by your VST or AU plugins render through Veena Bridge, so keep it running while you export. If a plugin card says "Launch Veena Bridge", click Launch first.
- MIDI shows "Skipped non-MIDI tracks". A MIDI file holds notes only, so audio tracks are listed as skipped. Export WAV or MP3 for the sound.
The file sounds different from playback
- Full mix is "Every track summed through the master chain into one file", the same limiter you hear while you play.
- Stems are "One file per track, with that track's effects, volume and pan". With normalising on, Veena measures one gain across the whole set, so the balance between stems stays exactly as you mixed it.
- Quieter than other releases? Ask CoProducer to finish the mix for streaming, then export again.
Finding your file
The export downloads through your browser, usually to your Downloads folder: one file, or for stems a zip ending in "-stems.zip" with one file per track, named after the track. Keep the tab open while the progress bar runs, until it reads "Export complete!". If no file appears, open the browser's downloads list and check that the site is allowed to download files.

Why can't I export my song in Veena?

Why is only one instrument in my Veena export?
A track is still soloed. Solo in Veena works by muting the clips on every other track, and export includes exactly what you hear, so a soloed track exports alone. Switch solo off, check that no clips look faded (faded means muted) and export again. Stems follow the same rule: muted tracks are skipped.
Does Veena limit how many times I can export?
No. Every Veena plan, including the free one, exports as often as you like with no cap and no watermark: WAV 24-bit/48 kHz, MP3 320 kbps, MIDI, and MP4 when the project has video, as the full mix or as every track in one zip of stems. You own the music you make, so the files are yours to release.
Why won't Veena export MIDI?
MIDI export writes notes, so it needs at least one MIDI clip. On an audio-only project Veena greys out MIDI and explains that the project has no MIDI clips, only audio. To get notes from a recording, ask CoProducer to transcribe it, for example "turn my vocal melody into MIDI", then export MIDI.
