Export Stems, and Own Every Track You Make
Export stems, the full mix, the MIDI or the video, as often as you like: in Veena, the free AI DAW with a personal music producer built in, every song CoProducer builds with you leaves the studio as real files you own. WAV at 24-bit and 48 kHz, MP3 at 320 kbps, MIDI and MP4, with no cap on any plan and no watermark on any file.
That's the whole deal. You describe a song, CoProducer builds it as real tracks, you shape it, and then it's yours to take anywhere: to a distributor, a mix engineer, a collaborator on another DAW, a sync library, a live rig. Nothing is rationed and nothing is rented back to you.
Everything you can export from Veena
| Format | Quality | Mix or stems | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|
| WAV | 24-bit, 48 kHz | Full mix, or every track as stems in one zip | Mastering, distribution, another DAW |
| MP3 | 320 kbps | Full mix, or every track as stems in one zip | Sharing, posting, sending a demo |
| MIDI | The notes, not the sound | Every MIDI track in one .mid file | Replaying the parts on your own instruments |
| MP4 | Video with the mixed audio | One file | Scoring a video, posting a clip |
One render quality, stated in the dialog, so there's no settings maze: WAV is full quality, MP3 is small, and both are the same song you hear in the session.
How to export stems in Veena
- Open Export. Click your avatar at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Export.
- Name the file and pick the format: WAV, MP3 or MIDI. MP4 appears when the project has video.
- Choose Stems under Contents. Veena writes one file per track, with that track's effects, volume and pan. Muted tracks are skipped, so mute a guide vocal and it stays out of the set.
- Leave Normalize audio for export on to lift the loudest peak to -0.1 dB with one gain across the whole set, or switch it off to keep the exact level you hear.
- Read the summary and export. Before anything renders, Veena shows how many files you'll get, their names, the quality and the estimated size, and the button names the result.
The stems download as one zip named after your file, each stem named after its track: a project called Night Drive gives you Night Drive - Bass.wav inside Night Drive-stems.zip. Want a single part's notes? Open the clip's piano roll and download its MIDI file.

Stems you can actually use, because the song was built in tracks
Most AI music tools make one stereo file, then try to pull it apart afterwards. Veena works the other way round. CoProducer writes the drums, bass, chords and melody as separate tracks from the first sentence, so exporting stems is just writing out the tracks you already have: clean parts with no separation bleed, carrying the effects and mix you chose.
Ask CoProducer to get the set ready before you press the button:
- "Rename the tracks Kick, Snare, Hats, Bass, Keys and Lead Vocal so my stems are labelled."
- "Mute the scratch guitar so it's left out of the stems."
- "Master this for streaming before I export."
Bringing in a finished stereo track of your own, like a demo or an old bounce? The free stem splitter splits it into vocals, drums, bass and other on the timeline, and every one of those tracks exports as a stem too.
You own what you export
Veena's terms say "you own the Output you generate through your use of the Service", and Veena assigns you any rights it holds in that Output. That covers every part CoProducer writes with you, on the free plan as much as on Veena Pro. Your own recordings, voice memos and uploads are yours as well.
- No watermark. Not in the WAV, not in the MP3, not in a single stem.
- No cap. Export after every change, for every version, on every plan.
- No credit required. The terms don't ask you to name Veena on a release.
- No download door that closes. Your projects stay in your account, and the export is there whenever you come back.
Paying for Veena Pro, at $20 a month, removes the daily request cap and unlocks the premium models. It never changes who owns the song or how often you can export it.
Export stems free: Veena vs the AI song generators (September 2026)
Rival facts below are from each company's own help centre, pricing page or terms, read on 23 September 2026.
| Veena | Suno | Udio | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Downloads | No cap on any plan | Up to 7 lifetime on Free, 20 a month on Pro | Disabled on every plan |
| Stems | Every track, on every plan, from a song built in tracks | Paid plans only, cut from one finished mix | Disabled |
| Who owns a free-plan song | You | Suno keeps it on the free tier | Udio and its licensors |
| A studio to shape the song | Free, with your own VST3 and AU plugins | Suno Studio, Premier only at $30 a month | Nothing leaves Udio to shape |
Suno caps downloads on its Free and Pro plans: free users who joined before 3 September 2026 get up to 7 lifetime trial downloads, and Pro gets 20 a month. The uncapped door, Suno Studio exports, sits on Premier at $30 a month, and on the free tier Suno says "we retain ownership of the songs you generate".
Udio turned downloads off on 29 October 2025. Its help centre says "downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled", and its terms keep ownership of the Output with Udio and its licensors.
What that costs the musician: songs you can't get out, or can only get out a few at a time, and a free-plan song that isn't yours. More on leaving a capped generator in the best Suno Studio alternative.
The studio around the export
Exporting is the last click of a session that is free from the first one. Veena is free music software that runs in Chrome on Mac, Windows, Linux and Chromebook laptops and on your phone, with the AI on Veena's servers, so no graphics card is needed. Compare it with other music production software, see the whole online music studio, or read why AI musicians make their songs here. The full reference is export formats in Veena.

Try this in Veena
Make a 96 BPM neo-soul song in E flat major, 32 bars: a laid-back kick and snare with swung hats, a warm finger bass line, Rhodes-style Electric Piano chords with extended voicings, a soft string pad and a short guitar lick answering the space for my vocal. Put every part on its own clearly named track, balance the mix, and get it ready to export as stems.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export stems from Veena for free?
Yes. Veena is an AI DAW with a personal music producer built in. Describe the song you want and CoProducer builds it with you — beats, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — as real tracks you can edit, mix and export. Free, in your browser. On the free plan, Export writes every audible track as its own file, zipped together.
What formats does Veena export?
Veena exports WAV at 24-bit and 48 kHz for mastering or another DAW, MP3 at 320 kbps for sharing, MIDI with every MIDI track in one .mid file, and MP4 with your mixed audio when the project has video. WAV and MP3 come out as the full mix or as stems, one file per track.
Is there a limit on how many times I can export in Veena?
No. Veena puts no cap on exports on any plan, the free plan included. Export the full mix, every track as stems or the MIDI as often as you like, after every change you make. Your daily CoProducer allowance covers requests to CoProducer; exporting never spends it.
Does Veena watermark my exports?
No. No export from Veena carries a watermark, audible or otherwise, on the free plan or on Veena Pro. The WAV, the MP3, every stem in the zip, the MIDI and the MP4 are clean files you can send to a distributor, a mix engineer or a collaborator the moment they download.
Who owns the music I export from Veena?
You do. Veena's terms say you own the Output you generate through your use of the Service, and Veena assigns you any rights it has in it, on every plan. Your own recordings and uploads stay yours as well, and the terms ask for no credit to Veena or CoProducer when you release a song.
Do exported stems keep my mix?
Yes. Each stem Veena exports carries its track's effects, volume and pan, and muted tracks are left out, so the set matches what you hear. With Normalize audio for export switched on, Veena applies one gain across every stem, so the stems line up in another DAW with exactly the balance you mixed.
