Online Music Studio

Veena is a free online music studio with a personal music producer in the room. Open a browser tab and you have instruments, drum kits, a sampler, a recording booth, a mixer and a sample library, and CoProducer, who builds songs with you as real tracks you can edit, mix and export.

A real studio is three things: the rooms, the gear and the people who work there. Most online music studios give you some of the gear. Veena gives you all three, and the person in the producer's chair works for you every day on the free plan.

The producer's chair

Brief CoProducer the way you'd brief a producer: genre, tempo, key, the parts you hear, the shape of the song. It writes a plan, builds each part as a real track and offers 3 options for every new one, so you choose the bass line the way you'd choose a take. Then keep directing: "open up the hats in the hook", "swap the Electric Piano for a Warm Pad", "make the outro 8 bars shorter". It finishes with the levels, pan and effects, and tells you exactly what landed and what it skipped.

61 instrument presets across seven shelves: Acoustic Grand, Electric and Upright pianos; six guitars from nylon to Distortion Guitar; 29 basses, from Fretless and Slap to Reese, Acid, Log Drum and six 808s; Violin, Viola, Cello, Contrabass, String Ensemble and Pizzicato Strings; and 17 synth sounds, from Supersaw Lead to Glass Pad and Riser. 39 of them run on Veena's own synth, with macro knobs you can turn and every parameter CoProducer can set.

The drum room

7 kits (Pop, Chaos, JCLive, Brush, Electronic, TR909 and Jazz), a step sequencer called Beat Maker, and a 16-pad MPC-style sampler for your own one-shots.

The sample library

27,356 curated samples, 16,020 one-shots and 11,336 loops in 10 categories, plus a licensed professional catalogue. Ask CoProducer for "a dusty vinyl crackle loop" or "a tight 909 clap" and it brings back 10 preview cards to audition.

The live room

Record your microphone with volume and latency calibration, a count-in and loop takes, or play MIDI from a controller or your computer keyboard. The online recording studio page walks through a full session.

The control room

Per-track faders, pan, mute, solo and meters into a master limiter; 10 effects per clip, with presets like Plate and Hall reverbs, Slap and Ping Pong delays, and Vocals or Drums compression; and your own VST3 and Audio Unit plug-ins through Veena Bridge on Mac and Windows.

Export a 24-bit/48 kHz WAV or 320 kbps MP3 of the mix, every track as stems, or the MIDI. No cap, no watermark, and the music is yours.

An AI music studio, not an AI music generator

Search "AI music studio" and you meet two kinds of product: generators that render a finished file and call their editor a studio, and studios with a few AI buttons attached. Veena is the third kind, a full studio whose AI is a producer working inside your session. What each rival says and charges below is taken from its own site on 23 September 2026.

Soundverse leads with generation by its own title, "AI Music, Video & Voice Generator". Its "studio multitrack access, stems export, and commercial licenses" come with the paid Creator and Pro plans, and the free tier is "1,000 free tokens upon signup" (Soundverse's homepage and pricing page, September 2026). Its licensing FAQ adds that on the free trial "You can't monetise your creations", and that even on Pro "Your final composition can't have 100% of Soundverse generated content" (Soundverse's help centre, September 2026).

Amped Studio sells itself as a "Free Online Music Maker & AI Song Creator", but its free Starter plan means ads, 5 projects, 16 tracks, "Export only in MP3 format" and no VST3. Its Track Builder AI creates "between 4 & 8 tracks" from a style picked in a drop-down menu, "audio stems from a sound library database" rather than parts written for your song, and beyond a one-time demo it needs Premium + AI at $12.99 a month (Amped Studio's pricing and AI pages, September 2026).

BandLab's free Studio stops at 16 tracks and shows ads, every project is capped at 15 minutes on free and paid plans alike, and AutoMix, Voice Cleaner and Smart Tools start with Pro at $14.99 a month (BandLab's membership pricing page and help centre, September 2026).

Audiotool is free with no track caps, and its pitch is modular: 37 built-in devices you wire together with cables (Audiotool's site, September 2026). It is a studio for producers who want to build every part and every signal chain themselves; Veena brings the producer.
