Consistent preview levels in Veena: what changed

Result-card audio, instrument keys, drum pads, MPC pads and preview keyboards now follow the relevant clip level and the master bus. A part you audition uses the same signal path as the clip it becomes, rather than a separate louder preview route that bypasses your mix.

Use the current workflow

  1. Select a MIDI clip and open Instrument, or audition a CoProducer option.
  2. Compare the preview with the part playing in the arrangement.
  3. Set the clip, track and master controls deliberately before choosing the sound.

Compare and change sounds with the instrument guide, or put your recording on pads with the MPC sampler.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a Veena preview now match its clip’s level?

Veena routes preview audio through the relevant clip level and master bus. Result cards, instrument keys and pads therefore use the song’s processing rather than a separate louder route. Hear the part in context, then use its clip or track controls for the musical balance you want.

Do master effects affect previews in Veena?

Veena’s previews go through the master bus, so enabled master processing is part of the sound you audition. Use FX Chain to compare the bus switched off and on, and keep the switch in the state you intend before judging or exporting the song. Track and clip levels remain separate mixing decisions.

Can I compare an instrument sound in the Veena mix?

Yes. Choose an instrument in Veena and play its keys or the MIDI clip while the other parts are audible. Preview level follows the relevant clip and master path. Keep the sound you like, then adjust its track fader or effects for its role in the arrangement.
