Suno WAV Download: Which Plans Get It, and What It Costs

A Suno WAV download needs a paid plan: WAV is "Available to Pro and Premier subscribers", only on suno.com, while free accounts get "a lightweight mp3" (Suno's help centre, September 2026). How a Suno WAV download works on each plan

Suno's help article "What types of files can I download?", edited 9 September 2026, sets the rules. MP3 is "Available for song downloads on all plans". WAV is "Available to Pro and Premier subscribers" and "Available on suno.com (mobile downloads default to MP3)".

• Free: no WAV. "Free plan users currently only get one option: the Download button will generate a lightweight mp3" (Suno's help centre, 19 December 2025). And even the MP3 is scarce: the pricing page now lists "No monthly song downloads" for Free, accounts opened before 3 September 2026 keep "up to 7 trial downloads", and newer ones "may occasionally receive trial downloads".
• Pro, $10 a month (or $96 a year): WAV on suno.com, inside "20 song downloads per month".
• Premier, $30 a month (or $288 a year): WAV on suno.com, inside "60 song downloads per month", plus Suno Studio, whose exports come as "32-bit WAV or MP3" with no download limit.

The click path, from Suno's own FAQ: in your Library or Workspace, "click the triple-dot (...) icon, and hover over Download to see download options". On a phone, the same click hands you an MP3.

Every WAV spends one of your downloads

Since 3 September 2026, a WAV is a rationed item. Suno's downloads FAQ (edited 10 August 2026) spells out the accounting:

• "One song counts as one download, regardless of format." A WAV costs exactly what an MP3 costs: one of 20 on Pro.
• Re-downloading a song you already took, in any format, is free, and its stems ride on the same download.
• "Pro and Premier download counts reset each month and unused downloads don't carry over."
• The limits "apply to all music on Suno starting September 3, including songs created before that date", so every WAV of your back catalogue comes out of this month's allowance.
• Rights follow the file: "You may not commercially exploit Output that has not been downloaded by you through an approved channel" (Suno's terms, effective 3 September 2026). Cancel, and "downloads follow free tier limits".

A WAV can't fix what the generation baked in

WAV is a lossless container, not a promise about what's inside it. Suno users have said as much in its own community. On 22 July 2026 one posted in r/SunoAI that the track played fine on Suno, "but the WAV I download has audible bass crackle and fuzz, particularly at the first and last 30 seconds." Another, on 3 May 2026, wrote that "SUNO vocals had this persistent hiss and crackle". Those are user reports, not Suno statements, but they point at the same fact: the file can only carry what the render contains.

Stems don't get you under the render either. Suno's own blog (11 June 2026) says its separation "regenerates each stem from scratch using our latest model", handing you "a freshly generated guitar that matches what was there". Veena: 24-bit WAV of every track, on the free plan

In Veena the parts are never baked together. CoProducer builds the song as separate tracks on a timeline, so the WAV of each one is that exact part, not a guess at it.

Build it. Describe the song, like the R&B prompt at the end of this page. Shape it. Change a chord voicing in the piano roll, swap the electric piano for a pad, record your vocal from your mic, and set levels and pan in the mixer, or ask CoProducer to "tuck the strings under the vocal". One undo reverses any CoProducer change.

Export it. Open the account menu in the sidebar and choose Export. Pick WAV (24-bit/48 kHz), MP3 (320 kbps) or MIDI, then the full mix or stems: one file per audible track, zipped, with shared normalisation, plus an optional "Normalize audio for export". Before anything downloads, Veena shows the file count, names, quality and size. Do it again tomorrow with a new mix; nothing is counted. Veena's export formats lists every option.

Own it. Veena's terms say "you own the Output you generate through your use of the Service", on every plan, and there's no watermark on your exports.

Take your WAVs and go

Leave Suno, keep producing in Veena. The order matters, because your downloads end with your plan.
