Audio import problems
Audio import problems in Veena come down to three things: a file format Veena doesn't read, a file that is still loading, or a tempo read that doesn't match the music. Veena imports 13 audio formats, MIDI and 6 video formats straight onto your timeline, free, so most fixes take seconds, and then CoProducer, your personal music producer, builds the song around what you brought.
What Veena imports

Three ways in: the Upload button in the transport bar (its tooltip reads "Import Audio/Video/MIDI File"), Upload in the Library, or drag files straight onto the timeline, which reads "Drop audio, MIDI, video, or image files anywhere in the playlist." Projects saved by other DAWs don't open in Veena: export their tracks as WAV stems or MIDI and import those.
Audio import problems and their fixes
Nothing appears after you drop a file
Convert the file to WAV or MP3 in the app it came from, then import it into Veena. Choose Upload to open the file picker and select your audio.
The clip is dim and reads "Loading audio"
The clip is on the timeline and its audio is still arriving: "Loading audio · 42%" means 42% is in. Veena draws the clip first so you can keep working, then brightens it when the sound is ready. Several files import side by side, and each one uploads to your Veena cloud storage in the background.
The clip reads "Audio unavailable"
Re-export the file as a standard WAV or MP3 and import it again. On a clip that played before, hover the badge: "Audio couldn't be loaded" means you can click the clip to try again.
The loop plays at double or half speed
The first audio or MIDI file you import sets the project tempo. Use Match to BPM to set your loop to any project tempo you choose:
- Set your chosen tempo in the transport bar: drag it, or tap it in.
- Select the clip and open its Waveform tab.
- Click Match to BPM. In Match Project BPM, set the Original BPM field and confirm. Veena stretches the clip to the project tempo, and the pitch stays where it was.
Parts of a MIDI file are missing
MIDI tracks with fewer than 4 notes are left out, since they are almost always tempo maps or single stray hits, and a file with no notes adds nothing. Every other track arrives as its own clip. If an instrument guess is wrong, change it on the clip's Instrument tab, or ask CoProducer to "swap the piano on track 3 for Strings".
A video's sound isn't on its own track
Right-click the video clip and choose Separate Audio. The sound becomes a normal audio clip you can edit, split into stems or build around.
The file is too long to split into stems
Separate into Stems takes files up to about 95 MB, roughly 8½ to 9½ minutes of stereo audio, and returns vocals, drums, bass and other on new tracks, lined up with the original. Import a shorter section of a longer file.

Why did my imported loop get the wrong tempo in Veena?
Veena reads your imported loop’s tempo and gives you direct control of the project grid. Set the tempo you want in the transport bar, then open the clip’s Waveform tab and choose Match to BPM. In Match Project BPM, set Original BPM for the loop and match it to the song while keeping its pitch.
Can I keep working while audio imports into Veena?
Yes. Veena places imported files on the timeline straight away, so you can keep arranging while their audio loads. The files upload to your cloud storage in the background, and identical files are stored once. Continue recording or ask CoProducer to build around the part you brought into the project.
Can I import a project from Ableton, FL Studio or Logic into Veena?
Not as a project file. Export each track from your old DAW as a WAV stem, and the parts you want to keep editing as MIDI, then drop them onto Veena's timeline, where each file lands as its own clip. From there CoProducer can mix what you brought, add parts around it or rearrange the song, and every clip stays editable.
