Can I use AI to remix a song?
Can I use AI to remix a song? Yes. In Veena, an AI DAW with a personal music producer, CoProducer, built in, you split your own track into four stems, change its key and tempo, and ask CoProducer to write a new groove, bass and chords around the parts you keep. Every part is a real track you edit and export as WAV, MP3 or stems. It is free and it runs in your browser.
How to remix a song with AI in Veena
1. Open the studio. Go to daw.veena.studio and sign in with Google. There is no download and no card.
2. Bring in your track. Drag a recording you have the rights to onto the timeline, or press Upload in the transport bar. Demos, rehearsal takes, old bounces and stems from collaborators all work. Record your own part if you have none.
3. Split it into stems. Stop playback, right-click the clip and choose Separate into Stems. Four time-aligned tracks appear in 45 to 120 seconds for a full song: vocals, drums, bass and other. Veena mutes the original, so you can compare at any time.
4. Set the key and tempo. Open Waveform on a clip for Find Key, Pitch Shift and Match to BPM, or set the project's tempo and Change Key in the transport bar. See key and tempo.
5. Rebuild around the parts you keep. Mute the drums or bass and describe the remix:
Remix my demo as a 124 BPM house track in A minor: keep my vocal stem, mute the original drums, build a four-on-the-floor Punch kit groove with offbeat hats, a Round Bass line and Electric Piano stabs, and open the second drop with a filtered Vox Pad.
CoProducer measures the stem, writes every new part to fit it, and keeps your recording in the song.
6. Export. Choose Export from your avatar menu, pick WAV or MP3 and Full mix or Stems.
What's free
- Stem separation: a right-click split costs nothing and uses no daily request.
- CoProducer: a daily allowance of requests. Picking or skipping options does not use it.
- The studio: timeline, piano roll, Beat Maker, mixer and recording, with up to 5 projects at a time.
- Export: WAV 24-bit/48 kHz, MP3 320 kbps, MIDI and stems, with no cap and no watermark.
- Ownership: you own the Output you generate, on every plan.
Veena Pro, $20 a month, removes the daily request cap and unlocks the premium models.
How Veena compares for stems and remixing
| As of October 2026 | Veena | FL Studio | Soundtrap | Ableton Live |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stem separation | Free, 4 stems | Producer Edition and up, $179; Fruity Edition has "no stem separation" | "Only available on Production & Vocals" plan | Suite only, $749 |
| Price of the studio | Free | Producer Edition $179 | Production & Vocals plan | Suite $749 |
FL Studio's strength is a decades-deep pattern workflow. Veena puts splitting, key and tempo changes and a producer that rebuilds the track in one free browser studio, so a remix of your own music stays editable from first stem to final export.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use AI to remix a song?
Yes, in Veena. Veena is an AI DAW with a personal music producer built in. Describe the song you want and CoProducer builds it with you — beats, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — as real tracks you can edit, mix and export. Free, in your browser. Bring your own track, split it into stems and ask CoProducer for a new groove around it.
What app can I use to remix songs?
Veena runs in your browser, so there is nothing to install. Sign in at daw.veena.studio, drag in a track you have the rights to, right-click it and choose Separate into Stems. You get vocals, drums, bass and other on their own tracks, then change key and tempo and have CoProducer write the new parts.
What is a free remix software?
Veena is free remix software in the browser: the studio, stem separation, key and tempo changes, recording and every export format are on the free plan, with no cap and no watermark. CoProducer has a daily allowance of requests, and Veena Pro at $20 a month removes the daily request cap and unlocks the premium models.
Do I need the rights to a song before I remix it?
Remix music you have the rights to rework: your own demos, rehearsal takes, old bounces, stems from your collaborators or tracks you are licensed to use. Veena is built for your own music. You own the Output you generate through Veena, and exports carry no watermark, so a remix of your own track is yours to release.
Can I remix without starting from an existing track?
Yes. Open an empty project in Veena and describe the song in one message: genre, tempo, key, sections and instruments. CoProducer builds drums, chords, bass and melody as editable tracks. A remix is then one more request, such as "turn this into a 124 BPM house version", and each change is one Ctrl+Z.
