Suno Free Trial: What the Free Plan Gives You (2026)

Is there a Suno free trial? Suno has a Free plan, not a timed trial: 50 credits a day, v6-mini and almost no downloads. What it covers and a free studio.

Is there a Suno free trial? Suno offers a Free plan instead of a timed trial: 50 credits a day on the v6-mini model, no Suno Studio and almost no downloads (Suno's pricing page and help centre, September 2026). Veena, the free AI DAW with a personal music producer, puts its whole studio in the free plan.

Veena is an AI DAW with a personal music producer built in. Describe the song you want and CoProducer builds it with you — beats, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — as real tracks you can edit, mix and export. Free, in your browser.

What Suno's free plan gives you

Suno's pricing page lists the Free plan as a daily allowance of credits, with the studio and the downloads held back for paid plans. Facts below are from Suno's pricing page, help centre and downloads post, read in September and October 2026.

Suno Free planWhat you get

Suno StudioNo: Studio comes with Premier, $30 a month

Commercial useNot for trial downloads; free-version songs are for non-commercial use

What a Suno trial leaves out

The studio. Suno Studio, its DAW with MIDI, effects and automation, is a Premier feature, so no free account opens it. When you do pay, it is not compatible with VST or Audio Units plugins.

The files. Making songs is free; taking them out is not. The cap that applies to every plan is explained in Suno download limits.

The rights. In Suno's words, on the free version it retains ownership of the songs you generate and you may use them for non-commercial purposes. Subscribing later "does not give you retroactive commercial use licensing" for songs made on a free plan by default.

What it costs to go past the free plan

Suno's free plan is the only way in without paying, and the next step up is a subscription. From Suno's pricing page, September 2026:

Suno planPriceCreditsSong downloadsStudio
Free$050 a dayNone monthly; trial downloads onlyNo
Pro$10 a month, or $96 a year2,500 a month20 a monthNo
Premier$30 a month, or $288 a year10,000 a month60 a month, Studio exports uncappedYes

Pro and Premier download counts reset each month, and "unused downloads don't carry over." Credits included in subscriptions do not carry over either. So a Suno trial of the studio means paying for the top plan first: $30 a month, or $288 up front for the year.

The free alternative: Veena

Veena starts where a trial ends: the studio is free, and you keep what you make.

  1. Start at daw.veena.studio. Sign in with Google; nothing to install, no graphics card.
  2. Describe the song. Paste the indie folk prompt at the end of this page, or write your own. CoProducer builds it as real tracks on a timeline.
  3. Pick and shape. Each new part comes as 3 options. Change anything in plain words or in the piano roll, and record your own vocal over it.
  4. Bring your plug-ins and a co-writer. VST3 and AU instruments and effects load through Veena Bridge, and anyone you invite can build the song with you in real time.
  5. Export with no cap. The full mix or every track as WAV 24-bit/48 kHz, MP3 320 kbps or MIDI, as often as you like, with no watermark on your exports.

If you want more from CoProducer, Veena Pro costs $20 a month: it removes the daily request cap and unlocks the premium models. Exports, stems, plug-ins and collaboration stay free on every plan. Current prices are on Veena's pricing page.

Try this in Veena

Make a 92 BPM indie folk song in A major: fingerpicked acoustic guitar, a soft kick and brushed snare, a warm upright bass, a slow pedal steel line and a harmony pad that opens in the chorus, leaving room for my own vocal. Intro 4 bars, verse 8, chorus 8, verse 8, chorus 8, outro 4.

Frequently asked questions

Does Suno have a free trial?

Suno has a Free plan rather than a timed trial: 50 credits a day, the v6-mini model, and no Suno Studio (Suno's pricing page, September 2026). Veena works the other way round: its whole studio is free in your browser, with a daily CoProducer allowance and exports with no cap and no watermark.

Can you download songs on Suno's free plan?

Barely. Suno's pricing page reads "No monthly song downloads" for Free. Accounts opened before 3 September 2026 have up to 7 lifetime trial downloads, newer accounts may only occasionally receive trial downloads, and trial downloads are not eligible for commercial use. In Veena, WAV, MP3 and MIDI exports have no cap on the free plan.

Can I use Suno's free songs commercially?

No. Suno's help centre says that on the free version Suno retains ownership of the songs you generate and you may use them for non-commercial purposes, and a later Pro or Premier subscription does not give retroactive commercial rights by default. Veena's free plan keeps you in charge of what you build: real tracks you edit and export yourself.

Is Suno Studio part of the free plan?

No. Suno Studio comes only with Premier, $30 a month or $288 a year, so there is no free trial of the studio itself. Veena's full DAW, with the timeline, piano roll, mixer, stem separation and your own plug-ins through Veena Bridge, is free from the first session.

What can I use instead of a Suno free trial?

Veena. Open daw.veena.studio, sign in with Google and describe the song you want: CoProducer, your personal music producer, builds the drums, bass, chords and melody as real tracks you can edit, record over and export, free, with nothing to install.
