Suno 7 Lifetime Downloads: Is That All Free Users Get?
Suno 7 lifetime downloads explained: who gets them, why accounts opened after 3 Sep 2026 may not, why they're personal-use only, and a free studio instead.
The Suno 7 lifetime downloads are all a free account gets, at most: up to 7 trial downloads, never topped up, for personal use only, and only for free users who joined before 3 September 2026 (Suno's help centre, September 2026). Veena, the AI DAW with a personal music producer, is free with no cap on exports.
That is seven songs for the life of an account, on a plan that can make ten songs a day. Below is exactly what Suno's own pages say about them, what changed for new accounts, and where free songwriting has no counter at all.
The Suno 7 lifetime downloads, in Suno's own words
Suno's help article "How do free trial downloads work?", edited on 9 September 2026, lists the rules:
- "Each free account includes up to 7 lifetime trial downloads."
- "Trial downloads do not reset each month."
- "Once you've used all 7, you'll need to upgrade or purchase additional downloads."
- "Trial downloads are for personal, non-commercial use only."
- "Trial downloads do not grant commercial use rights."
A second article, edited on 3 September, adds the fine print on time: "Trial downloads for free users will roll over, but will not top up in future months." Leftovers wait for you; nothing new ever arrives. And Suno's pricing page sums up the Free plan in four words: "No monthly song downloads."
Joined after 3 September? You may not get seven
The number 7 has a birthday attached. Suno's downloads policy, first published on 10 August and repeated in its help centre, carries this footnote:
Free users who have joined before September 3, 2026 will have up to 7 trial downloads with the ability to purchase additional downloads. Free users who join on or after September 3, 2026 may occasionally receive trial downloads, and will also have the ability to purchase downloads.
"May occasionally receive" is not a number. Suno doesn't promise a new free account any downloads at all, only the chance to buy them.
Suno's help centre says both things at once. The article edited on 9 September still opens with "Each free account includes up to 7 lifetime trial downloads", while the downloads policy edited on 3 September limits the 7 to accounts opened before that date. Plan on the stricter reading.
Seven downloads against what the free plan makes
The gap between making and keeping is where free users feel the cap. All figures come from Suno's own pages, read on 23 September 2026:

A week of free writing can produce seventy songs. Seven can ever leave as files, all of them MP3s that Suno owns and that you may only use personally. Subscribing later does not fix the old ones: Suno's help centre says a Pro or Premier plan "does not give you retroactive commercial use licensing for the songs made with a free plan by default." - Open daw.veena.studio and sign in with Google. Nothing to install; it runs in your browser on any laptop.

- Export, then do it again tomorrow. Open the account menu in the sidebar, choose Export, and take WAV, MP3 or MIDI, the full mix or every track. There is no counter to watch, on this song or the hundredth.

Seven is the whole story
Suno's free plan lets you make music and keep almost none of it, and since 3 September even the seven are no longer promised to new accounts. Veena's free plan is a whole studio with a producer in it, and every song you make there leaves as WAV, MP3 or MIDI, as often as you like, owned by you.
