Udio doesn't fit in a price table at all. After its partnership with Universal Music Group on 29 October 2025, "downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled" (Udio's help centre, September 2026). Whatever you pay, the song stays on Udio.
The three hidden costs of an AI song
1. Downloads are the meter. Since 3 September 2026, Suno caps downloads by plan, and the limits "apply to all downloads starting September 3, including songs created before that date". Free users who joined on or after that date "may occasionally receive trial downloads". Past the cap, you buy more. In Veena, exporting is never metered: WAV at 24-bit/48 kHz, MP3 at 320 kbps, MIDI, or every track as stems, on every plan.
2. The right to sell costs extra, and it doesn't travel backwards. Suno's free plan comes with "No commercial rights", and its help centre is plain: "Subscribing to a Pro or Premier plan does not give you retroactive commercial use licensing for the songs made with a free plan by default." Your best free song stays a free song. Veena's terms give you ownership of what you make on every plan: "you own the Output you generate through your use of the Service."
3. Re-rolling burns credits. A generator hands you one finished file. If the chorus works and the drums don't, the fix is another generation, paid for in credits, and Suno's subscription credits "do not carry over from day to day or month to month". In Veena every part is its own track, so you fix the drums and keep the chorus. Picking between options, skipping them or continuing a run doesn't count against the free allowance, and a failed CoProducer run is refunded.

DAW prices are from Apple's, Image-Line's and Ableton's own pages. The session rate is the American Federation of Musicians' Sound Recording Labor Agreement scale for rates through 31 July 2026.
