Who owns music made with AI in Veena?

You do. Veena's terms say you own the Output you generate through your use of the Service, and that Veena assigns to you all of its right, title and interest in it. That holds on the free plan and on Veena Pro. Your own recordings stay yours too, and there is no watermark on your exports, as WAV, MP3, MIDI or MP4.

Do I need a paid plan to sell music I make in Veena?

No. Ownership and exports are the same on Veena's free plan and on Veena Pro: you own what you make, and you export the mix, every track as stems, and the MIDI as often as you like. Veena Pro, $20 a month, removes the daily CoProducer request cap and unlocks the premium models. It doesn't change who owns the song.

Can I sell a song I made on Suno's free plan?

Not by Suno's rules. Its help centre says free-plan songs 'cannot be monetized' and that Suno retains ownership of them, and subscribing later 'will not give you a retroactive license for the song' (Suno, September 2026). In Veena, songs made on the free plan are yours from the first note, with no watermark on your exports.

What Veena's terms say

Two passages from Veena's terms of service settle it:

"As between you and Veena, and subject to your compliance with these Terms, you own the Output you generate through your use of the Service, and Veena assigns to you all of its right, title, and interest (if any) in and to that Output."

"You own Your Content. As between you and Veena, you retain all right, title, and interest in and to Your Content. We do not claim ownership of it."

The first covers what CoProducer makes with you: the drums, the bass line, the chords, the arrangement. The second covers what you bring: your vocal, your guitar take, your voice memo, your lyrics. Neither depends on your plan. And nothing in Veena stamps your audio: no watermark, no fingerprint, no provenance tag, on any export.

Three details matter when you plan to sell:

Suno's rights don't travel backwards. Its help centre says starting a subscription "after you made a great song will not give you a retroactive license for the song". A hit written on the free plan stays unsellable.
Suno's commercial rights ride on its download meter. Its terms say: "You may not commercially exploit Output that has not been downloaded by you through an approved channel under these Terms of Service." Downloads are capped at 20 a month on Pro and 60 on Premier.
Suno may mark your audio. The same terms say: "We reserve the right to append a fingerprint, watermark, or metadata indicating the applicable service tier of an Output and whether such Output was a permitted Download."

Nothing made on Udio can leave it right now: since its partnership with Universal Music Group on 29 October 2025, "downloading of audio, video, and stems has been disabled" (Udio's help centre, September 2026).
