Write notes in Veena

Updated October 2026By Veena Studio

Write notes in Veena from the Notes entry in the left sidebar, where you can keep lyrics, session ideas and production decisions beside your music.

Veena is an AI DAW with a personal music producer built in. Describe the song you want and CoProducer builds it with you — beats, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — as real tracks you can edit, mix and export. Free, in your browser.

Write notes in Veena, step by step

  1. Open Notes. Press Notes in the left sidebar. The panel shows your saved notes as cards.
  2. Create a note. Press the plus control labelled New Note. The note editor opens with an empty document.
  3. Write your lyrics or brief. Keep the words you want to sing, a chord idea, or the list of changes you want to make in the next pass.
  4. Format the text. The toolbar offers Bold, Italic, Underline, Strike and Highlight, headings, Bullet List and Ordered List, plus alignment controls.
  5. Close the editor to return to the studio. Edits update the note as you type. Open its card again when you want to continue writing.
  6. Delete a note you no longer need. Use its delete action and confirm Delete Note? with Delete, or cancel to keep it.
  7. Bring the brief into CoProducer. Copy the production instruction you want and paste it into the prompt box. The note itself is a place to write; the message is where you ask CoProducer to act.

Give the session a clear next step

A useful production note names the part, the bars and the decision: "verse vocal dry, chorus backing vocals wider, bass quieter under the lead." Turn one line into a request, listen to its result, then revise the next line. This turns your production notes into clear musical edits you can hear and shape in the arrangement, one decision at a time.

Lyrics and music can develop together

Keep the verse and chorus text in headings so the form is easy to scan. Write an arrangement outline beside it, then name those same sections in the song. CoProducer can build the instrumental parts and the structure while your own words and recorded performance remain your creative decisions.

Notes are available on the free plan. They are part of the studio’s writing workflow, so you can return to an idea without searching through an old CoProducer conversation.
