Track names in Veena: what changed

Right-click a track and choose Rename, or double-click its name, to open the inline field. Enter or leaving the field commits the name; Escape cancels. The phone’s track sheet uses the same edit control. A blank or unchanged edit writes nothing.

CoProducer names the tracks opened by parts it builds, such as Keys, Drums and Bass. The chosen name follows the part into the console, FX panel, shared-room feeds, sidechain choices and automation controls. Named tracks keep those words when reordered, while unnamed tracks follow their current row number. This makes an instruction about a named part refer to the same name you see throughout the session.

Try it in your song

  1. Choose the track. Find its name beside the timeline, or hold the name on your phone.
  2. Open Rename. Use the track context menu or the phone sheet’s pen control.
  3. Keep the name. Type a musical role and press Enter; use Escape to discard an unfinished edit.
  4. Use it in a request. Name the track when asking CoProducer for an arrangement or mix change.

In your editable project

A track name describes the lane, while a clip name can describe a phrase or take inside it. Use separate names for two guitar layers or several backing vocals so the next edit is easy to locate. The same naming rules are used when CoProducer adds or renames a track, and the current help covers both manual surfaces.
