Real-time collaboration: make a song together in one Veena session

The Veena real-time collaboration launch, live on 12 September 2026, lets you invite someone into your session and build the song together, at the same moment, with CoProducer, your personal music producer, working for both of you. Edits sync instantly, you see each other's cursors on the timeline, and it is free on every plan.

What's in the Veena real-time collaboration launch

Invite links. Click Share in the transport bar, or open Studio Settings → Collaborate. Invite someone by email and Veena creates a link that opens only for that person's Google account, or choose Anyone with the link for a link that anyone who has it can use to join and edit. Veena doesn't send the email for you: press Copy link and share it however you like. Links work for joining for 30 days, and access lasts until the owner clicks Remove access.

Live cursors. Everyone's cursor carries their name and follows them across the timeline, pinned to the bar and track they're working on. Clips someone is editing show it.

Faces. Everyone in the session appears on the Share button. The sharing panel lists who has access and whether each person is "Active now" or "Not in the session".

Synced sections. The song-section ribbon under the ruler (intro, verse, chorus, bridge) syncs for everyone, so "take it from the second chorus" means the same bar on every screen.

Owner and editors. The project stays the owner's. Everyone invited can edit, and a song shared with you shows "Shared by" and the owner's name in Your Projects.

Why it matters

Songs get written between people: a singer and a producer in different cities, two beatmakers trading ideas, a band shaping a chorus. Until now that meant bouncing files back and forth. In a shared Veena session there is one song on one timeline, and everybody's changes, and CoProducer's, land in it as they happen.

Try it

1. Open a song and click Share.
2. Invite your collaborator by email, press Copy link and send it to them.
3. When their face appears on the Share button, paste the prompt below into CoProducer and build the bridge together.
