The best MusicGPT alternative is Veena, an AI DAW with a personal music producer. MusicGPT sells the "World's Best AI Model", "fairly trained on licensed material". Its pricing page and terms of service, read on 23 September 2026, show what that model costs you once the song exists.

What MusicGPT costs you, from its own pages

Ten songs a month on free, or five you can keep. The free plan gives 500 credits. MusicGPT's pricing FAQ prices a "Full song: 50 credits" and an instrumental the same, and its plan table lists "Download cost 50 credits" on Free. That is ten songs, or five if you download every one, and each file arrives in "MP3 Quality".

Best quality starts at $21.99 a month. Plus, at $11.99 a month or $119.88 a year, still downloads in MP3 quality. "Best Quality" files start at Pro: $21.99 a month, or $203.88 a year ($16.99 a month). Ultra costs $49.99 a month, or $395.88 a year.

Commercial rights are written for paid plans. The terms, effective 1 January 2025, say "Users on paid plans have full commercial rights to their generated content", and the pricing FAQ promises that "On any paid plan, MusicGPT grants you unlimited, worldwide, restriction-free rights".

Every track is licensed back to MusicGPT. The same terms apply to everyone who makes music there: "By using the Service, you grant MusicGPT a royalty-free, non-exclusive, and perpetual license to use, showcase, and distribute generated music for improving the Service, marketing, and training purposes." Audio "publicly available on discover" is, in the terms' own words, "royalty free", and MusicGPT grants "non-exclusive commercial usage" of those songs.

"Unlimited" has a ceiling. Ultra "provides 'unlimited' access for professional users, subject to this Fair Usage Policy". Typical use is set by "at least 95% of Ultra Plan users", and above it MusicGPT may respond by "temporarily throttling usage, applying rate limits, or offering an alternative plan".

Refunds depend on the page you read. The terms say "All payments are final and non-refundable except as required by law". The pricing FAQ offers "a 30-day satisfaction guarantee if you have used up less than 10% of credits".
