The hook. Every song starts with the line people remember. Hum it into Veena and CoProducer transcribes it into an editable MIDI part. Ask for chords and a bassline, and they're written against the notes you actually sang, with 3 options for each part so you keep the one that fits.
The shape. Songs live in sections. CoProducer plans with 11 of them (intro, verse, pre-chorus, chorus, hook, bridge, build, drop, break, outro and loop), and Veena shows the result on a song-section ribbon under the ruler. Lyrics first, melody first or beat first
Songwriters start in different places, and Veena's song maker meets each one:
- Lyrics first. Paste the chorus into the Notes pad and read it aloud against the metronome. If the lines feel rushed, drop the tempo; if they drag, raise it. Veena takes anything from 40 to 300 BPM. Then ask CoProducer for a chord progression and a simple Upright Piano topline to sing along to.
- Melody first. Hum it into your microphone. CoProducer transcribes it to MIDI, and every chord and bass note it writes afterwards is written against your melody.
- Beat first. Ask for the groove alone ("a 90 BPM Brush kit shuffle with an Acoustic Bass, 8 bars, as a loop section"), drag along the ruler to loop it, and write the topline while it plays.
- Chords first. Play them on your laptop keys or a MIDI keyboard, or type the progression ("D, A, Bm, G, one bar each") and let CoProducer voice it on Acoustic Guitar (steel).
