No. On Veena's free plan, a request is a message you type to CoProducer. Picking one of the 3 options for a part, skipping, and letting CoProducer continue the build do not count against your daily allowance, a build that has started always finishes, and a run that fails is refunded.

Click your avatar at the bottom of Veena's left sidebar and choose Export. Pick WAV (24-bit/48 kHz) or MP3 (320 kbps), then Full mix or Stems, and press the Export button. Every plan exports with no cap and no watermark, and you own the song you made.

Make Your First Song in Veena, Step by Step

To make your first song in Veena, open a blank project, describe the song to CoProducer in one message, pick the parts you like and export. Every part lands on its own track, so the song you finish is a real session you can change note by note, not a single audio file.

It works the first time more often than not. In Veena's own data, 3 in 4 new users (75.7%) whose first request asks for a new song get a finished first result on day one.

Make your first song in six steps

1. Open a blank project. From Your Projects, double-click New Project. You get 6 empty tracks and the CoProducer panel.

2. Write one request with the details a producer would ask for. Genre, tempo, key, sections with bar counts, instruments, and anything to leave room for:

Make an 88 BPM R&B song in E flat major: 4-bar intro, 16-bar verse, 8-bar chorus, 16-bar verse, 8-bar chorus, 4-bar outro. Soft swung drums, Electric Piano chords, a Round Bass line and a Bell Pluck counter-melody in the choruses. Leave space for my vocal.

Press Enter. CoProducer acts on the first message: if you leave out the tempo or key, it picks them for the genre rather than asking.

3. Watch it plan. A status line and short narration say what it is doing, a collapsible "Thought" banner shows its reasoning, and a to-do strip counts the steps ("2/6"). Activity rows read like a session log: "Setting the tempo", "Adding human feel".

4. Choose your parts. Each new part arrives as 3 options in one carousel. Hover a card to hear it, use ↑ and ↓ to browse, press Enter to add it, or pick More Options or Skip. You can change your pick while the carousel is open. A part that has to fit another waits for your choice, so the bassline is written against the chords you actually kept.

5. Read the ending. CoProducer closes with a "Delivered: …" line and a "Skipped/missing: …" line, both taken from what is actually on your timeline. If an instrument you named is not available, it says so and tells you what it used instead. Two to four next-step buttons follow; click one or type your own.

6. Shape it, then export. Ask in plain words: "make the second chorus 16 bars", "busier hi-hats in the choruses", "swap the Electric Piano for the Upright Piano". Each change is one Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) if you preferred it before. When it sounds right, click your avatar, choose Export, pick WAV or MP3 and Full mix or Stems, and press Export WAV or Export MP3.

Add your own voice

Press record in the transport bar and sing over the song: a count-in of 1 or 2 bars gets you ready, and a red box shows where the take will land. Then ask CoProducer to fit the arrangement around your take. Veena does not generate sung vocals; the voice on your song is yours.

If the first try misses

None of the 3 options fit: press More Options, or say what is wrong ("darker chords, more space between hits").
The song is too short: "extend the verse to 16 bars" or "add an 8-bar bridge before the last chorus".
A run fails: press Retry. A failed run is not counted against your allowance.
