Connect Claude to your Veena studio
Connect Claude to Veena and it works in your own Veena studio: it writes parts by hand, asks CoProducer for the jobs CoProducer does best, shapes the mix and exports the song. You watch every change land in your project and stay in charge of all of it.
Veena is an AI DAW with a personal music producer built in. Describe the song you want and CoProducer builds it with you — beats, chords, melody, arrangement and mix — as real tracks you can edit, mix and export. Free, in your browser.
Connect Claude to Veena
- Add Veena in Claude. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Name it Veena and paste this address:

- Open your studio. Go to daw.veena.studio and open a project, or start a new one. Keep the tab open while you work with Claude.
- Ask for music. Try: "Start a lo-fi beat at 84 BPM in my Veena studio, then give me three bassline options."

If Claude says your studio is not open
Claude works in an open Veena tab. Open the link Claude gives you, or go to daw.veena.studio/studio, sign in with the Google account you connected, and keep the tab open. Then ask Claude again.
Try this in Veena
Start a lo-fi beat at 84 BPM: write the drums by hand, then ask for three bassline options I can pick from.
Frequently asked questions
Can Claude make music in Veena?
Yes. Connect Claude to Veena with the address https://daw.veena.studio/api/mcp and it works in your open Veena studio the way a producer does. It writes parts note by note, sets tempo, tracks, effects and the mix, asks CoProducer for parts and sounds, and exports the song as a file you can play.
Do I need to keep Veena open while Claude works?
Yes. Claude works in the Veena studio you have open in your browser, so you watch every change as it lands. If no studio is open, Claude gives you a link to open one. Keep that tab open while you work together, signed in with the same Google account you connected.
Does connecting Claude use my CoProducer allowance?
Each request you give Claude counts as one CoProducer prompt, the same as typing it into Veena. Claude's own planning between its steps costs nothing in Veena, and its hand edits inside a request are free. Veena Pro removes the daily request cap and unlocks the premium models.
Can I undo what Claude does in Veena?
Yes. Everything Claude changes lands in your studio and your CoProducer chat, marked via Claude. Press Undo in Veena or ask Claude to undo, pick an option yourself when CoProducer offers choices, type to Claude from the chat, or stop the run at any time.
Which assistants can connect to Veena?
Claude connects to Veena as a custom connector today. Veena's connector uses the open Model Context Protocol with secure sign-in, so assistants that support remote MCP connectors use the same address, https://daw.veena.studio/api/mcp, and the same Allow screen.
