Saved MIDI notes reopen in Veena: what changed
Every saved MIDI note reopens with your song. Veena reads the MIDI stored in the project, keeping your notes and timing ready in the piano roll. Existing templates and songs reopen as editable arrangements.
Use the current workflow
- Open Your Projects and open a saved song.
- Select a MIDI clip and open its piano roll to inspect the saved notes.
- Make the next musical edit, then press Save and wait for Saved.
Choose a new instrument for an existing part to explore another sound while keeping its saved notes.
Continue a saved song with projects and autosave, or change pitch, timing and velocity with MIDI editing.

Frequently asked questions
How does Veena keep MIDI notes when a project reopens?
Veena reads the notes saved with the MIDI clip in the project. Open the song from Your Projects and inspect its piano roll; the saved notes remain available for editing, sound changes and export. Choose another instrument for the same part, or change its velocity while keeping the melody.
Can I edit the MIDI after opening an old Veena song?
Yes. MIDI notes that Veena loads from the saved project remain real notes in its piano roll. Select the clip, open the piano roll and change pitch, timing or velocity. You can also choose another instrument without rewriting the part, then save the song with those changes.
How do I check a Veena project is saved?
Use Save in Veena’s transport and wait for Saved before leaving the studio. Projects also autosave while you work. Reopen the song from Your Projects to continue with its clips, notes and settings; the project guide explains autosave, duplicates and Recently Deleted recovery.
